Walking Safaris

Transfrontier Walking Safaris are facilitated by experienced and industry renowned trail rangers and provide a unique platform from which an intimate relationship with the natural environment is experienced through a self-discovery process. A  walking safari  is  a holistic   nature   experience  and   perhaps, for some a spiritual one.

The adventure and excitement of tracking big game on foot, discovering the fascinating interaction between species, the thrill of interpreting tracks and signs of the wild, enjoying the often unseen beauty of delicate flora, interpreting sounds and scent and the entertaining folklore around a camp fire all contribute to a rewarding walking safari experience. Specialist walking safaris are conducted from our two camps, each with their unique identity and walking environment.

We believe that catering is integral to the safari experience and most meals are traditionally prepared by our resident camp chef on an open fire in conversation with guests.

Safari activities include morning walks, midday conservation activities and afternoon / night drives.
